Back to School Dance

Admittance Fee: $8 – ID required!

Calling all teens! Have a blast dancing the night away or playing basketball with your friends. This is a great opportunity for you to make new friends! New this year, all junior high dances will be held at the Centennial Recreation Center Gymnasium.

Fee & Times: The cost is just $8 a person, and each dance runs from 6:30- 9:15 p.m. Children must be picked up outside PROMPTLY by 9:15 p.m. There will be no supervision for children after 9:15 p.m.

You must present an ID card…no exceptions! Students must present their Jr. High ID cards for entrance. Parochial school students must have a “Jr. High Dance” ID card in order to enter the dance. These ID cards can be processed at either of our facilities by 5 p.m. on the Thursday before the dance. IDs will not be made the day of the dance. NO ONE WILL BE PERMITTED TO ENTER THE DANCE WITHOUT A PROPER ID CARD! NO EXCEPTIONS!

Babysitting Skills

Want to become a better babysitter? You will learn problem solving skills, emergency procedures, how to care for children, games and craft ideas. This is not a CPR and first aid certification class. Each participant will receive a completion certificate at the end of the class.

Tween Game Days

Calling all tweens! Enjoy a night with your friends playing games. Challenge your friends to board games, cards, bingo Wii and more! Winners of each game will win a prize. Don’t miss out!

Teen Dodgeball Tournament

Dodge, duck, dip and dive! Get your team ready for an Addison Park District dodgeball tournament! Each team can have 6-10 players. Six players play at one time and each team is guaranteed 2 games. Prizes will be awarded for the winning team in each division. Registration deadline is 6/20.

Teen Splash Bash

Grab all your friends and make a splash at the pool! Celebrate the hot summer weather and join us for a teen swim with your friends, music, games and more! The concession stand will be open for purchases. Special one-time pool pass for this event only. Bring your pool pass for a discounted rate. Please preregister for this event. Please call ahead in case of inclement weather.

Tween Trips

Grab your friends and travel to fun waterparks throughout the summer with us. Meet new friends and try out other outdoor aquatic centers in the area. We will have fun at Bensenville, Hanover Park and Bloomingdale Park Districts.

Great America Trip

Need a lift to the best amusement park in Illinois? We will be traveling to Gurnee to ride all the thrill rides and roller coasters at Great America! Please bring money for food and souvenirs.

Deep River Water Park Trip

Travel to Northwest Indiana for a splash-tastic adventure at Deep River Water Park! Ride the “Dragon,” enjoy the body and tube slides, Bayou River Ride, Paddles Play Zone, Wave Pool, Double-Douling Cannon Bowl Ride, and Mid-America’s Great River Ride. Also, enjoy playing sand volleyball, dining at the surf side cafe or ice cream shop. Lockers and tube rentals available for a small fee. Transportation and supervision are included in the fee. Please bring money for food and lockers.

Wii Teen Bowling Tournament

Have a blast competing against your friends in this fun interactive bowling tournament. No experience necessary. A variety of prizes will be awarded.

Teen Overnight Canoe Trip

Join the IPRA Teen Committee and other teens from Illinois on a fun-filled canoe trip! This event includes a 21-mile canoe trip along the scenic Wisconsin River. The first day will consist of approximately 12 miles of rowing, setting up camp along the river, cooking out, playing games, and meeting new friends. The second day will include packing up camp and canoeing the remainder of the way.
