Junior High Dances!

18905 - Back to School Dance!

Friday, September 17, 6:30-9:00 p.m.

Centennial Rec Center Gym

Admittance Fee: $7 at the door– ID required!

Calling all teens! Have a blast dancing the night away or playing basketball with your friends. All junior high dances will be held at the Centennial Recreation Center Gymnasium.

Fee & Times: The cost is just $7 and each dance runs from 6:30- 9:00 p.m. Children must be picked up outside PROMPTLY by 9:00 p.m. There will be no supervision for children after 9:00 p.m. Concessions will be available for an additional fee.

Students must present their Jr. High ID cards for entrance. Parochial school students must have a “Jr. High Dance” ID card in order to enter the dance. These ID cards can be processed at either of our facilities by 5 p.m. on the Thursday before the dance. IDs will not be made the day of the dance. No one will be permitted to enter the dance without a proper ID card – no exceptions!

BABYSITTING SKILLS

Want to become a better babysitter? You will learn problem solving skills, emergency procedures, how to care for children, games and craft ideas. This is not a CPR and first aid certification class. Each participant will receive a completion certificate at the end of the class.

DRAWING BASICS

Learn to “look”, learn to “see”... and Draw IT! After this class students will be able to draw what they see, realistically and with confidence. Line and value (shading) drawing techniques will be explored, first with energetic “warm up” exercises and then letting the brain and hand do their teamwork! Students will have fun as they discover their drawing potential. Each student will have their own sketchbook and use a variety of drawing tools, primarily pencil and ink. . Instructors: Irene Boutzarelous and Kyle Busse.

TEEN DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT

Dodge, duck, dip and dive! Get your team ready for an Addison Park District dodgeball tournament! Each team can have 4-6 players. Four players play at one time and each team is guaranteed 2 games. Prizes will be awarded for the winning team in each division. Reg. deadline is 6/20.

GREAT AMERICA TRIP

Need a lift to the best amusement park in Illinois? We will be traveling to Gurnee to ride all the thrill rides and roller coasters at Great America! Please bring money for food, souvenirs and your admission ticket. Regular gate admission is $56. Transportation & supervision provided.

TEEN ENCHANTED CASTLE
OVERNIGHT LOCK-IN

Does staying up all night playing video games, mini-golf, unlimited lazer tag and 3 hours of go-carts sound like a better alternative to sleep? Rgeister with some friends to have an unforgettable night of fun as we travel the Enchanted Castle for an overnight lock-in. If you bring extra money for tokens you can play any’ all the games you want through the night. Pizza, pop and breakfast will be provided. If you must take a break from the fun, bring a pillow, blanket and money for snacks.

RINK SIDE OVERNIGHT LOCK-IN

Want to stay up all night having fun with your friends, enjoying unlimited lazer tag, video games and 3 hours of ice skating? Register to have some fun as we travel to Rink Side in Gurnee, IL. If you bring extra money you can play all the video games you want, through the night. Pizza, pop and breakfast will be provided. bring your pillow, blanket and extra money for snacks and tokens.

TEEN SPLASH BASH

Grab all your friends and make a splash at the pool! Celebrate the hot summer weather and join us for a teen swim with your friends, music, games and more! Special one-time pool pass for this event only. Please pre-register for this event. Please call ahead in case of inclement weather.

TWEEN TRIPS

Grab your friends and travel to fun waterparks throughout the summer with us. Meet new friends and try out other outdoor aquatic centers in the area. We will have fun at Bensenville, Hanover Park and Bloomingdale Park Districts.

DEEP RIVER WATER PARK TRIP

Travel to Northwest Indiana for a splash-tastic adventure at Deep River Water Park! Ride the “Dragon,” enjoy the body and tube slides, Bayou River Ride, Paddles Play Zone, Wave Pool, Double-Douling Cannon Bowl Ride, and Mid- America’s Great River Ride. Also, enjoy playing sand volleyball, dining at the surf side cafe or ice cream shop. Lockers and tube rentals available for a small fee. Transportation and supervision are included in the fee. Please bring money for food and lockers.
