Senior Leisure Center

Completed in 1994, Addison Park District's Senior Leisure Center was designed to meet the activity needs of Addison seniors. Surrounded by a beautiful, scenic park, it provides over 7,000 square feet of activity space in the form of various multi-purpose rooms. These rooms can be combined to accomodate groups of up to 300 people. The full range of amenities at the Center include:

• Gift Store (Greeting Cards, Postage Stamps,
  Decorative Items)
• Leisure Room (Card Games, Meetings, Gatherings)
• Arts & Crafts Room
• Multi-media Arts Room
• General Meeting Room
• Main Center
• Carpeted area hosting capacity 180
• Expandable to connect with Center to host 300
• Handicap accessible one-level entrance and restrooms

The Senior Leisure Center is also the focal point for a variety of fun and interesting recreational programs for seniors. A day doesn't go by that something isn't happening here! Specific types of programs include exercise classes, social gatherings, special themed events, luncheons and health related presentations. Not to mention, the Senior Club; which meets every Tuesday at 12:00 Noon at the Center for coffee and refreshments. The Center is also the departure point for many exciting trips. This weekly Club connects seniors with exclusive activities, as well as other Addison Park District wide special events, classes, programs and offerings. The Club also works with community organizations to offer many activities and local business support the center with donations and event sponsorships.
