CHESS CLUB

Chess improves a chil’s memory, logic, observation and analysis. Learn how to play chess with this beginner's class. We will teach you the rules of chess, how to develop a strategy, and how to put your opponanet in checkmate! Discover and practice openings, mid-games, pins, forks, double attack,endganes and other fun games. Also, there will be a chess tournament with prizes! All chess boards will be supplied. Learn some new skills and have fun. You may even learn to beat an adult! Taught by Chess Mavin’s dedicated instructors.

MOVIE CLUB - PAJAMA PARTY!

Find a friend and enjoy a movie on the big screen. Note: You may bring your own pillow and blanket. Popcorn and soft drinks will be provided. All movies will be rated G or PG. Pre-registration is required. Ten participant minimum.

MAGIC CLASS

A great time is guaranteed when your child learns tricks from a real magician! Learn tricks that use cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading, and more. All materials provided, and each child receives a magic kit to take home. Brand-new tricks are taught at each session! All tricks are age appropriate.

HOME ALONE

The latch Key Child Program is recomended for young children who spend time alone or parents who are considering leaving their child alone. Parents and children will meet seperately. Parents will be given information on guidelines for leaving children alone. The children will be trained in practical safety tips. At the end of the program, parents and children will conduct a combined home-alone exercise. One parent must accompany their chils. Preregistration is required.
